“Otto Bestie – Bestiario Lunare”
La stampa linoleografica “Otto Bestie” si ispira a l’opera le “Otto Teste” di M.C. Escher, realizzita per una mostra colletiva che celebrava il centenario dalla visita dell’artista a Vietri sul Mare e sulla costa amanfitana. L’ Opera raffigura otto animali notturni (gatto, corvo, lupa, cervo, lepre, pipistrello, civetta, volpe) connessi da un immaginario lunare, rimanda al tema esoterico che allude al fascino dell’ingnoto e dell’oscurità. The linoleum print “Otto Bestie” (Eight Beasts) is inspired by M.C. Escher’s “Eight Heads,” created for a collective exhibition celebrating the centenary of the artist’s visit to Vietri sul Mare and the Amalfi coast. The work depicts eight nocturnal animals (cat, crow, wolf, deer, hare, bat, owl, fox) connected by an imaginary moon, referring to the esoteric theme that alludes to the fascination of the unknown and darkness.
